Dog Daycare and Boarding Services
What is a Doggie Daycare?
A dog daycare is very similar to a child daycare. Dog lovers drop their animal companions off on the way to work and pick them up on the way home from work.
During the day, dogs are allowed to play in an open play environment with other dogs of similar size and temperament. We have three large play areas: one for large dogs, one for small dogs, and one for outside play (large and small dogs take turns having “recess”). Unlike a child daycare, though, your animal companion can also spend the night!
We offer boarding at competitive rates and we include daycare for boarded dogs with no additional cost. Dog daycare is a great way to aid in your dog’s socialization skills (with other dogs and people). It also helps with separation anxiety and behavior related to excessive hyperactivity in dogs.
Our Story
Established by Tim Inman and Josh Shipman, our dog daycare is committed to becoming your pet’s home away from home. We are excited to serve you and your loveable puppies.
Doc’s Doggie Daycare Policies
It's recommended that dogs have an initial evaluation day of daycare ($10 non-refundable). The purpose of this evaluation day is to make sure the open play environment is appropriate for your dog.
All adult dogs over six months of age must be spayed or neutered for daycare and boarding services. There is a window for puppies between the ages of four and six months to try out daycare and to board with us without having to be spayed or neutered. (Four months is generally considered the age in which it's safe to receive the Bordetella vaccine.)
All services require reservations. Please contact us to make a reservation.
Exception: Boarding services can be offered to established clients in emergency situations without a reservation.
All vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella) must be current. Doc’s can administer 6-month intranasal Bordetella vaccine for a cost of $12. Doc's also partners with a local veterinarian to provide clients with full rounds of vaccinations in preparation for daycare and boarding stays. The estimated cost for a full round of vaccines is $50 per dog.
Doc’s recommends that all dogs be on flea prevention program and monthly heartworm preventative.
Dogs must be brought in on a leash or carried.
Any dog entering the facility with visible fleas or ticks will be administered a flea bath at the cost of $10 for large dogs and $5 for small dogs. This is not a full grooming service.
Boarding dogs that come without food (or run out of food) will be fed Doc’s house food at a cost of $2 per day.
For safety reasons, clients are not allowed to enter doggie playrooms unless accompanied by a Doc’s staff member.
For safety reasons, clients are not permitted to enter the outside doggie play area or lean on/climb/touch the fencing.
Facility tours are offered by appointment or at the discretion of staff.
For PM pickups following a boarding stay, clients will pay a reduced rate of $10 for the final day of daycare. This is known as Daycare after Boarding.
Bedding and toys will be provided. Clients are also welcome to provide their own bedding and toys. The client acknowledges that items may be lost or destroyed and agrees to not hold Doc's liable for lost or destroyed items.
